An importer of Mexican and Latin American Folk Art and handcrafts since 1986, Dos Manos merchandise includes everything from Pre-Columbian replicas of ancient civilizations to indigenous crafts from present-day Chile and Ecuador.  Following are several kinds of artwork.

Pre-Columbian Replicas

Many fine reproductions, inspired by the Mayan, Aztec, and Olmec civilizations of Mesoamerica, line our shelves.  Some quality choices are shown below:

• Bas relief sculptures of mythological deities, such as Ra-Kuk and Chac Mool

Folk Art

From textiles to toys, our folk art recall simpler times and pleasures.  Following are a couple of several categories in our inventory:

• Molas, or the colorful and intricately hand-stitched applique work by the Kuna Indians of Panama
• Hand-crafted toys and instruments from Mexico and Ecuador

Handmade Decor

We also carry traditional decor, including a variety of miniature nativities:

• Siwok multi-wood designs from Argentina's Wichi people

In addition, we have a large selection of Day of the Dead, the most important two-day indigenous religious event in Mexico.

Indigenous Crafts

We strive to purchase crafts from local artists whenever possible.  These native pieces include:

• Tagua nut (or palm ivory) carved animals from Ecuador
