one of the last remaining indigenous Nicaraguan people,
have their own language, culture and way of life.
Traditionally they have made pine needle baskets. The
thread is bought in Puerto Cabezas or Managua and is
regular sewing thread. The pine needles are wound together
and 'stitched' with the thread.
